SETUP INSTRUCTIONS for Eudora (Versions 3 thru 5)

This set up information applies to Eudora version 4.x, but because Eudoras' set up is similar throughout its versions, these set up instructions will also apply to 3.x and 5.x.
Eudoras' settings options are chosen in the scrolling window on the left. Selecting a section brings up the option to the right hand side.

Click the Getting Started icon in the left side bar and enter the following information:

Real Name: John Doe
Username: johndoe
Mail Host: mail.themacisp.net
Return Address: johndoe@themacisp.net

Click the Hosts icon in the left side bar and enter the following information:

Mail: mail.themacisp.net
SMTP: mail.themacisp.net
Directory Services: {leave blank}
Finger: {leave blank}

Do not check any of the four options checkboxes and if already checked, uncheck them.

Click the Checking Mail icon in the left side bar and enter the following information:

Username: johndoe%themacisp.net
Mail Host: mail.themacisp.net

The only other absolutely necessary parameter to be set is Authentication which should be set to Passwords.

All the other settings are optional.

Click OK to complete Eudora Mail Setup.
